Οι Ρώσοι ξεχύνονται στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο...


Το γεγονός της συνεχιζόμενης παρουσίας του ρωσικού στόλου σε μια περιοχή στην οποία το θερμότερο σκαρφαλώνει επικίνδυνα προς το κόκκινο, αποτελεί μια δήλωση από μόνο του. Μια πιθανή χθεσινή διάταξη του ρωσικού στόλου στο Αιγαίο παρουσιάζεται στο διαδίκτυο.

Όπως μπορεί να δει κανείς στην απεικόνιση, πρόκειται για συνολικά 13 πολεμικά πλοία των Ρώσων που έχουν αναπτυχθεί ή βρίσκονται σε πορεία προς την Ανατολική Μεσόγειο, ανοικτά των ακτών της Συρίας.
Με δεδομένο ότι δεν έχει ανακοινωθεί κάποια, επόμενη, μεγάλη αεροναυτική άσκηση των Ρώσων στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο, όπως μπορεί να παρατηρηθεί στους χάρτες που δημοσιοποιούνται από το Κέντρο Συντονισμού Ερευνας και Διάσωσης της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας, μπορούμε να υποθέσουμε ότι τα πλοία έχουν αποκλειστικό προορισμό την Συρία, είτε προς ενίσχυση με υλικό των δυνάμεων της κυβέρνησης στην Δαμασκό, είτε για κάτι άλλο.

A MASSIVE RUSSIAN naval fleet is conducting an exercise in the Mediterranean close to Cyprus, according to the ITAR- Tass News Agency.

According to the report, the anti-submarine ship - the Admiral Levchenko, the Olenegorsky Gornyak of the Russian Northern Fleet have begun joint manoeuvres with big amphibious ships - the Kaliningrad and the Minsk which belong to the Russian Baltic Fleet.

Tass said that the four ships, which belong to an inter-fleet group of the Russian Navy, have been conducting joint manoeuvres in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, southwest of Cyprus.
Department chief of the press service of the Western Military District Vadim Serga confirmed the joint manoeuvres.


The manoeuvres are controlled from a command point on board the Admiral Levchenko.

It is unclear if the Russian fleet will use Cyprus ports during the exercise, the Russian navy are allowed to re-fuel and supply at Limassol port.

In January, the Council of Ministers also approved a draft proposal by the Defence Ministry to offer certain facilities to the Russian air force at the Andreas Papandreou military airbase in Paphos.
